Well, on the entertainment side of things, there are a LOT of things to
check into BEFORE booking your entertainment. The first is checking into
the company you will be booking with. You should book with the company
YOU feel most comfortable with. If you have any questions, make sure you
are getting answers! Often times people beat around the bush and don't
provide you with adequate answers. Get what YOU want! You should be
ecstatic when you book your entertainment! It's one of the most
important parts of this function! The nice thing about corporate
functions is that they are different, usually. I love how most of our
corporate clients think outside the box, maybe with a little bit of our
help too. :0)
Book the DJ, for sure, they are your "Go to guy",
they hold it down, keep everything running smoothly, handle all
announcements (if needed), and play great music, BUT try booking a BAND
for the night as well, usually corporate clients have the budget to WOW
their guests! A Band and DJ Package is great because they can cater to
ALL of your guests and make sure everyone is enjoying themselves! Also,
try something different before the band starts, book a COMEDIAN for an
hour to help everyone let loose or a MAGICIAN to intrigue your guests!
There are so many options but corporate parties are
PERFECT for these different ideas. Also, make sure that you have THE
WHOLE NIGHT covered, this is another perk of having your DJ, they will
handle your cocktail music, dinner music, etc. for the entire night!
Also, if you wish to have live musicians for cocktails and dinner, why
not book a Jazz Trio for a few hours! One thing to keep in mind as well,
you probably don't want to have an open mic. Alcohol + Coworkers + Open
Mic. is not a very good mix, and could possibly cause trouble. It's
usually better to let the DJ handle any announcements or have speeches
prepared. ;0)
The options are endless and a good entertainment company can help you achieve your goals!
