Shall We Dance!
I find a lot of 40 and 50 something individuals celebrating their
birthdays would love to have hand or line dancing at their parties but
don’t due to the lack of party goers that know how to do the dances.
The solution to this problem for me has been to ask the DJ doing the
event or contact a dance studio to provide instructions and sometimes a
few dance partners to encourage more guests out onto the floor.
[Negotiate with the dance studio by suggesting they would be getting
free publicity along with the reduced price for an hour of instruction.]
It truly makes for a much livelier event and the guests have something special to take home with them.

Green Birthday Tips
We all know that it is our individual responsibility to consider our
environmental impact and make changes towards reducing our footprint on
the planet. We are replacing our light bulbs, recycling, bringing our
own bags grocery shopping and so on and so forth.

Planning your child's Birthday Party!
When you decide to plan a birthday party for your child remember that it
is all about them. Try to see the party from their point of view, this
will help you in planning the event and making it something that they
will enjoy. First decide on a budget, you will need to include an
estimate of how many children will be coming to the party. Then decide
how much food, cake and favors to purchase and include this in your
budget. Second, decide on a theme. Try to pick something that your
child is very into at the moment, like a cartoon or Pirates, Unicorns,
etc.
Try asking your child or noticing what excites them on TV or at the store. After you have picked out the theme of the party decide where you want to throw it, at your house, an arcade, park, etc. Once you have decided where, then it is time to choose when. Pick your date wisely making sure there are no other events going on that may conflict with the party. Now, it's time to send out invitations that match the theme of the party. Decide on a menu, usually for kids parties this should be pizza or something very simple and then include the cake and ice cream. Make sure the cake, favors and decorations go with the theme of the party as well. For the favors, candy and noisemakers go a long way just put them in cellophane bags and hand them out as kids leave.
Games and entertainment will make the party so plan a few and make them fun. Some good ideas are Twister, board games, balloon toss, water gun fights, etc. I would plan to play the games that are going to wear the kids out the most that way they go home calm! Have the Best Party Ever for Your Young Child
Birthdays are one of the magical days in a child's life. It is their
celebration when they are in the spotlight. Help make their day special
with a little advance planning. For preschool age children, make sure
that you have games and activities that meet their attention span.
Active games are great for this age group, like Duck, Duck, Goose.
Writing games will not succeed because they don't yet know how to read.

what budget you’ve set. Here are some basic, tricks to planning a

When deciding on the number of guests you want to invite remember how much the the place you have can hold and also what you can afford for food, drinks, etc
Do not ask your guest when they are available and when, just announce your party, if your party is less formal, a phone call is perfectly fine, also if you can, send your invitation email and do not forget to ask for an RSVP by a certain date. Whichever way you announce your party, be sure to let your guests know if there will be a theme.
Make sure to send out your invitations at least two weeks in advance. Always plan ahead that not everyone will respond even if they plan on coming. Spark your guests excitement and anticipation about your party. When it comes to the music and lighting this should be No #1 along with the food. Keep the music lyrics at a level where you will not offened anyone. Dim lighting is great if you are having your party at night and inside, if you do not have lighting you can have groups of candles placed around the house. You don’t necessarily have to buy decorations unless it’s a themed party, but a few bunches of flowers is always a nice touch.

Be the host or hostess, offer them a place to put their purses and coats. Introducing your guest to each other and how you know each other is a great icebreaker. Do not cause a party flop by running out of food, drinks,music and seats.

After I’ve processed this information, I then put together about 3-4 different design layouts for the family to choose from.
